Last Wednesday I appeared alongside Roly Gregoire The Roly Gregoire Foundation on the BCB afternoon show.
Roly was Sunderland AFC's first black footballer between 1977 and 1979 and
suffered racism aplenty. So when his career was ended after just ten league
games due to a terrible injury he was never the same person for a long time.
Thankfully, a recent BBC Look North programme has gone a long way to helping
him. For once, I said very little - even more of a reason to listen to the
