This is a Granada TV interview with myself announcing that Kenny Davenport scored the most important goal ever, which was the first League goal. League football revolutionised football and sport in general. Kenny netted at Pikes Lane, Bolton for Bolton Wanderers v Derby County at 3.47pm on Saturday 8 September 1888. Bolton were to lead the match 3-0 at one point before losing 6-3.
